R E G L E M E N T

1. PURPOSE AND AIM
1.1 To promote the volleyball game among youth teams
1.2 To check the readiness of the teams to participate in European Championships

2. TIME AND VENUE
2.1 Competition will be held from 27 to 29 October 2006 in Estonia, Viljandi
Arrival: 27.10.2006
Departure: 29.10.2006
2.2 Competition will be held in two age groups for youth teams (boys and girls) as follows:
A group: for participants born in 1989 – 1990 (boys) and 1990 – 1991 (girls)
B group: for participants born in 1991 – 1992 (boys) and 1992 – 1993 (girls)

3. BODIES RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COMPETITIONS:
The Volleyball Federation of Estonia approved panel of referees will be responsible for organizing of “Baltic Cup 2006” competitions.

4. RULES
Competitions will be held according the FIVB Rules of the game with official FIVB approved ball MIKASA MVP 200. The members of each team have the same colour of uniforms.

5. PARTICIPANTS:
Girls group A - Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland (invited)
Boys group A - Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland (invited)
Girls group B - Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland (invited)
Boys group B - Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland (invited)

Each team is composed of maximum 11 members (10 players and 1 coach). Besides teams members for whole delegation is allowed 1 (one) head of delegation.

6. METHOD OF COMPETITIONS
Every team will play against each other team.
Allocation of points:
- match won 2 points
- match lost 1 point
In the case of equal points, teams shall be settled according the quotient of sets won and lost. In case of equal the quotient of points won and lost in all matches shall be taken into consideration. In the case of equal quotient teams shall be settled according to the result of the match played between the teams in question.
A match will be accounted for a lost by 0 - 3 (0-25; 0-25; 0-25) if the team will not be registered to the match.

7. PRIZE OF HONOR:
The prize - winning teams and coaches will be awarded diplomas and prizes. The best player in each age group will be awarded by individual prize. The members of the teams will be awarded by diplomas.

8. ENTRY FORMS:
The participating teams has to registered for participating by October 20 this year at Volleyball Federation of Estonia.
